Poe certainly influenced literary, theatrical and musical culture, the appeal lying in his strong sense of black despair, a decaying decadence, fantastical imagery and the macabre. ![]() ‘Tales Of Mystery And Imagination’ is a musical concept album inspired by the nineteenth century American author Edgar Allan Poe and named after a posthumous collection of his works that was first published in 1902.Įdgar Allan Poe was born in 1809 and died in 1849, his relatively short life yielding a body of work which is to be cherished, an inspiring and breathtaking legacy. ![]()
